Maryland/Mid-Atlantic gtg

A show of hands for those in the mid-atlantic who would be interested. Most likely this would take place in late Aug or early Sept. Most of the testing will be centered around lidar, but if there is enough interest we could do RD testing too.

lidars:
Laser atlanta
Ultralyte 200LR
Prolaser 3
Prolaser 2&LTI 20-20(won't be bringing unless anyone wants to test against them)

radar:
MPH K-band
KA golden eagle

Those of you who are interested or have suggestions on test sites feel free to post on here or pm me.

I'd be interested, although I only have a V1 and a veiled laser shield to offer for testing. I've been waiting on the LI (not sure if I'm thinking of going AL or LPP in the meantime) and then I was hoping to test it and everything, but haven't gotten one yet. But I'd be interested in just meeting up and checking things out.

As long as we're not in VA/DC for the actual testing, I'm game to give this a try.

Of-course, as many of y'all know, my own ability to make such events, particularly those farther away from home, is strictly limited to what I can work out with the wifey regarding her schedule, and the well-being of my daughter (being the active, social, toddler that she is, she gets the usual "bugs")....

With that caveat in-mind.

I unfortunately do not have any speed-detection gear.

My vehicle is equipped with a high-mounted Escort 8500x50 (Rev5), integrated to a traditional-mount (2 front, single rear) Escort ZR3 Laser Shifter, and is supplemented by a dual-front/single-rear LPP setup (8.3/10.1 - AUS/CAN "100 PPS UL-enabled" revision). Passive protection include fiberglass replica plates both front and rear, with LaserShield up front.

If I do make it, I will also have a bottle of VEIL that we can all "share and test."

Is anyone still interested in getting together in this area? I have my LPP installed now and would like to see what it does.

I do not know where we could test other than parking in a common parking lot on Rockville Pike where all the stores are and use the main highway to test. As you get further away from DC, the highway seems to open up a bit and the traffic is not so congested.

Im very interested to get my toys in on this..Id like to test my vehicle against a laser gun with all my smoked covers in the front .. I think its is hard to get a reading on my vehicle..Can only fine out if we do this...What would be the tests, and as someone mentioned, where would this occur?

Wheres the guy who made this post up at?

So, I know lpps are nothing exciting because they've been tested over and over, ad nauseam, but I have an lpp on the way, just hoping to get it shot and see if there are any weaknesses with my soon-to-be dual setup. Is this being organized or can we get something going?

The date for testing is this coming Saturday morning (Sept. 29). By morning, I mean late morning. We will be using Viers Mill Road just north of Wheaton, MD. There's a section of the road there that's more than 1/4 mile with three places to shoot from. Discretion should be exercised just to keep things cool. I scoped it out and think it should be fine as long as we don't do anything to draw attention.
