Cleveland Heights will visually estimate your speed before engaging instant-on K.

Most of their enforcers are well-able to hold their trigger unless you're +3 PSL in a 35 zone.

I'm not saying that they're "the most dangerous," but they are highly skilled.

    Orange township loves roving Ka.

Skill? I dunno, but that's dangerous practice.

How do you protect yourself when you drive through these areas? Looks like RD doesn't help very much.

^ Ah, my friend, that's easy.

    I simply don't speed, locally.

Orange enforcement is pretty reasonable. On a 35 PSL, they'll usually give you +5.

    Cleveland Heights, it depends.

On some roads (NEVER select enforcement zones, though), and at certain times of day, they can be just as reasonable. On others, they'll write you, for even 2+, in a 35.

So, with these areas being my most often traveled, in a true day-to-day commuter manner, I just don't speed. I run all of my countermeasures simply as a matter of hobby interest, and I've admitted this, openly, here and on many automotive Forums.

To me, knowing that it takes me X minutes to get from, say, my home to my lab in the AM, and then from my lab to my sister-in-law's place in the afternoon, to pick up my daughter from our nanny - and knowing also how long my typical errands in-between can run me - it lowers my blood pressure not insignificantly to simply know that I can easily drive the limit and NOT have to worry about getting pulled over for something stupid.

But when I do speed, I tend to stay below 7+ ... and when I do, I *always* use a rabbit, of which there are plenty to be found. There's plenty of hard-rap bellowing (Black or White, suburban or urban) teens, mindless soccer-moms, and too-busy-to-pay-attention businessmen and women to be had.

Honestly, though, that's a rare case, for me. As it's truly easier to just not speed.

I think Cincinnati is relatively light compared to what I've heard about other parts of the state, in terms of radar. I rarely encounter radar, and when I do it's usually C/O, often times with the officer having already pulled someone over on the highway. I haven't seen radar anywhere but the highway in at least a month, and I drive probably 500-750 miles a week locally. That said, there is a TON of laser on the interstate, with OSHP, Butler and Hamilton County Sheriffs, and local guys getting in on the action. If you're jammerless, it's a feeding frenzy from roughly 25 miles out down to the river on both 71 and 75. Mainly relegated to the interstates again, however.

And a thank you to you as well! I wouldn't wish the misfortune of having to travel through Cleveland on anyone, but if one must, your info would be most helpful

^ No problem at all - glad to be of-service.

I've started updating what I've logged, below, to Trapster --->

On Trapster, I've actually noted a few more sites than I list in the thread.
