Also I know there is a lot of 35.5 Ka, some K and laser but wat other things should i tell him to be aware of? thx

Why would you tell him not to slam on the brakes? If he is going over the PSL by more than 10 I would recommend slamming on the brakes and if he gets pulled over just say that he saw the officer. STi is not detectable anyways so just make sure he hides it.

That's why I said he could just tell the LEO that he saw him, that's why he slammed on brakes.

Doens't matter what you tell him anyway. If he is running 10 over and gets hit with IO, he will slam the breaks, especially if he is not used to a RD.

Being in front is asking for trouble. You should advice him to use a rabbit. The thing about using a radar detector just does not include reaction to an alert but more on being proactive by assessing the current situation all the time and the art of being defensive in any given situation and that includes a rabbit. There is no way you can avoid IO if you were the one in front.

Honestly I slam on the brakes every time i get I/O'd never had a problem. Just say you saw him. There too stupid on this issue. And Its better to not slam on the brakes if you know he has you.

I would slam the brakes anyways, then you could say you saw him and maybe get a break from him because you proved you weren't aimlessly driving and that you were being very attentive to the road (hence you "saw" him)

Do NOT slam on the brakes when hit wit IO in VA, it will definately get you a ticket. Thats how I got my RD ticket a few years ago, I hit the brakes when I got hit with IO and got cited for RD use. Fortunately, the cop was cool and let me off the hook on the speed(was doing 20+ PSL)

Fast forward to a recent encounter, I got hit with instant on by cop behind me when I was doing ~15+ PSL. I instintively used the ebrake to slow down and the was staring into my car as he drove by. Had my brake lights lit, I have no doubt he would have pulled me over.
