For those that tried to make it out on Tuesday I apologize. My rule is that when too many things start going wrong then I pull the plug.

Besides I couldn't secure a laser and the radar that I was using was not effective or fair. I could not determine the violator, had there been one, without guessing. And if I'm not 100% sure then I'm not going to cite.

That being said the average speed was 54 and the fastest that I could capture was 61. This was on Ed Bluestein where the speed limit is 55.

So I went and had a cheese burger and went home.

Why was the radar not effective?

Mutiple targets packed close together. If I see a vehicle that I determine is going faster then the rest the radar can't single it out without picking up the cars around it. I have a hard and fast rule that I took from my football officiating days. Unless I can be 100% sure of what I saw the flag stays in the pocket. Same for traffic enforcement. If I can't verify the speed because I can't single out the violator then I do not cite. It's not fair.

Plus, like I said, everyone was behaving.
