what band is used in brazil??

I would like to give my mother inlaw (lives in brazil) a radar detector, as she occasionally receives a ticket for speeding in the mail. My internet searches have been unsucessfull in determining the band they use for photo radar. I am leaning towards the whistler pro78 rev c for the ka band, and/or the bell 995 if it is the ku band.
for $$$ purposes i am hoping the whistler will take care of her.
Any help will be appreciated

Eu não sei. However, if its like lots of other foreign countries, 95% of these traps are well known, fixed locations and you can probably by a GPS based device with these locations marked in it.

I read on another forum that laser is commonly used in brazil, not sure what guns though.
