So in VA its illegal to listen to the radio?

Thats what I never got. A radar detector is a lot like a radio antennae, they just happen to pick up different frequencies. Why discriminate against radar detectors?

Same thing goes for laser jammers. Essentially they emit light (although not visible light). So if you are not allowed to use LJ in your state then you should not be allowed to use headlights either.

Thats always been my main argument against states with laws against LJ and RD. If you can't have a RD you should not be able to listen to the radio and if it is against the law to have a LJ then to make it equally unfair, it should be illegal to drive with your headlights on.

Well, if VA is a Commonwealth and not a State, then they shouldn't have seats in the Senate or the House, and the United States of America should be 49 rather than 50 States.

Well D.C. is not a state yet but its still acts like a state.
