Southwest Michigan Laser 131 around Snow Road Exit.

I was heading to St. Joe to go to Silver Beach the other day and on my way up 131 I had just passed the Snow Road exit, and around mile marker 13 I was coming up a hill and got hit with laser. He was hiding under a overpass he had a white unmarked car parked off to the side and behind the posts under the overpass. He was out of his car shooting what looked to be a Ultralyte, he shot me at least 1000 ft out didn't even see him until it would have been to late. I/O is used at this spot alot by the Berrien County Police (black cars), but this is the first laser encounter on this road I have ever had. I had marked this location on my 9500ix because of the I/O so I was going the PSL. This is the first time the M-20's have gotten any real action in a year and a half, scared the crap out of me. I used the GOL site to try and identify the gun, the closest match was the Ultralyte. Are these used alot in this area ?

I have seen quite a few Ultralyte laser speed guns in use lately. Yes, they are used here. Just so you know since you live in Indiana, they still use x band radar there so your best bet is to keep it turned on.

Yea I know the South Bend city police have a few cars with X band still, and one St. Joe county car still has X band. I have been hit by everything here but Laser. Another member RobCollins5 said he has been hit with laser in Mishawaka, IN, but I never have yet.

I live here in SW Michigan and have yet to see laser being used on 131, good to know it's out there though. Last time I was hit with laser around here was last winter on I 69 right at the US 27 junction in the Lansing area. Hope it's not getting more popular here in Mi.

I hate to break it to you but it is. I have seen laser all over MI this year being used. All up and down I-94 which includes K-Zoo, Battle Creek and Benton Harbor. I-131 from Cadillac all the way down to Indiana. I-96 seems to be hot where laser is used especially between Grand Rapids and Lansing and around Brighton. I-69 at the Coldwater exits, between Battle Creek and Lansing, between Lansing and Flint and sometimes even Davison. I-75 from Ohio up to Grayling at least. US 31 on the lakeshore I see laser being used every once in awhile too.
