Daytona Beach, Port Orange, Ormond Beach Area Info

I recently just got back into town for school at Embry-Riddle, and I wanted to make an evaluation of what radar and laser guns are in use around the area. I live in Port Orange and on the local radar bands by town, it says that POPD only uses Ka and Laser. Anyone around the area know what the local LEOs have as their equipment?

I went to Riddle for a while back in late 80's. I also live in Port Orange off Stoney Brook Circle. You know Riddle offers some classes here in Houston.

I'm a bit south of you, but expect county sheriff's to be running K band here and there along with the Ka and Laser you're already aware of. Turn off X band if you haven't done so already.

Did you check the sticky's for bands by towns...I used to fly a plane that was formerly owned by Embry Riddle...forget the call sign...xxxEcho Romeo. Funny the ATC immediately gave me the student pilot treatment.

I actually was down in Daytona Beach and one of their stealth F-150s was shooting X band, so I'm leaving X band on. It got me by surprise

I answered my own questions this week after driving around town. This is what I got so far:

Port Orange PD: Ka 35.5 (Don't know if it's Decatur or Kustom)
Daytona Beach PD: Ka Stalker 34.7
Volusia County Sheriff Stealth F-150: X band 10.525
