Road Trip to Baton Rouge What to Look For?

Im taking a road trip down to Baton Rouge tomorrow through the weekend. Im starting off in Birmingham and heading there based on map quest. Which tell me to take I-59 most of the way until i get to Louisiana where it tells me to take I-12. What bands of radar should I worry about and do I have to worry about laser at all?

I would say Laser,35.5 Ka and more of 34.7 Ka

Thanks guys, based on some of the cities i could find its seems like a majority of Ka and K until i hit closer to Baton Rouge until I see more laser. A lot of the Mississippi towns I have on my google map route are not in that list does anyone know if they use laser any where in Mississippi?

Mississippi still uses x band. Louisiana still uses x band. I would keep k band on also and the other advice listed above.

I know this is a little late, but anywhere your going in baton rouge, you do not need to worry about x band. Baton Rouge PD has been running a lot of sneaky laser traps around town lately, they also have some k band guns. State troopers run mainly Ka C/O, but I've heard of I/O also. East baton rouge sherriffs run Ka. Pretty much watch out for anything except X band.

Im back from my trip today. And in the car i was driving it in my V1 hated it so much i had to move the position of it so much just to stop it from laser falsing 100% of the time. I finally got it to stop and only do it every once in a while. In Mississippi i only picked up 2 cops. One cop in forest county who was running c/o and a trooper using c/o ka. I saw about 3 other cops that I did not pick up. I guess they wernt running their radar. Driving 12 and 10 into Baton Rouge I picked up all the cops I saw but one all running K and Ka. Driving through 20 in Alabama I only saw cops with people all ready pulled over so they didnt have their radar on. But heading there I saw about 4 cops around Tuscaloosa and I didnt pick up any of them. Any one else take a similar trip and have any other experience of why I wouldnt pick up some of these cops.

That's funny. In the backwoods country out in Louisiana I have a friend who got a ticket there and yes it was from X band radar. It may not be used in the heart of Baton Rouge, but when you gallybat outside of BR, I would keep x band on. Too bad my friend that got a ticket from X band in Louisiana isn't on here!
