    Default Jersey shore and X-Band?

Ok, so i'm loving my sti driver..

I am noticing X band seems to only go off when I'm around any sort of shopping mall or group of stores most likely attributed to auto door sensors.

Is X-Band obsolete? Can I turn it off? So far when I come across a LEO using radar it's K/a band.

So i'm looking for some basic info on what bands are in use in my area (Toms River/Pt. Pleasant)

Is POP the same as I/O? (POP is annoying because other peoples RD's set it off occasionally)

and should I have POP on?
    also SWS even worth it?

and on a little side note:
Louisianan Hot Sauce is amazing on nachos right now.

    1. No, POP is a MPH specific operating mode, times either 16ms or 67 ms depending on the model of the gun. It's designed so RD's can't pick it up. It's not used in our area, and even if it was it can't 'legally' be used to issue tickets.
I/O is a way of operating any radar gun. The gun is off, until a LEO guesses someone is speeding then he flips it on. It's deadly without a rabbit.
    2. Turn POP off.
    3. No. SWS is not worth it in my opinion.

I was hit by X-band on the 295 along the NJTP. The cop was on the grass but at an angle (his windshield was facing the highway).

With the Sti I had tons of time to slow down, at first I thought it was a false alarm, but decided to play it safe.
