Default Very tight whacker Charger on 45 today.

No vid of this guy, since my Flip's battery was dead.

White RT Charger with NO tint. Private Tags. Had three whips on the rear deck and had what I think is a dual MPH Bee antenna hanging down on the rear glass but not on the lower side like the real cop cars have them. This antenna was hanging right top dead center of the rear windshield. He also had what looked like (and I kid you not) an RD on his driver side window down low but it could also be a Spectre. There were no police lights visible and he was passed by a speeding driver, he sped up to match the passing cars speed then let him go.

I was so busy trying to ID the gun I didn't get a good look at whether or not he was wearing any kind of uniform. Texas is very strict about vehicles with private tags so it could be an fellow enthusiast or just a whacker. The Charger was very nice, blacked out spotters and steelies. From personal experience I will tell you the RT chargers don't come with steelies they come with alloys, so you either trade out for the 17" steelies or paint the alloys black. Looked like he painted the alloys black like most whacker RT chargers do. I'm going to cruise the Galveston County lot this afternoon just in case it was a transfer vehicle from another PD.

Unmarked patrol cars don't have private tags. Right?

They can. There is no law against it. There's even a specific provision in the law for LEO agencies to obtain them.

It's not uncommon to see DPS supervisor cars with private plates.

In Johnson County Texas there's a couple Grand Prix GTP cars unmarked with private plates. Lights are behind the tint across the top of the windshield and on the rear dash in the back. Mostly used at night around the hot rod hang outs.
