If you have to fight it, it might be good to find the channel they use on air to chase car communications and record some of the conversations.

When I used to listen to them here before they went encrypted they would get confused many times on which car they had clocked, and then trying to point that vehicle out to the chase car. If you can find a few instances of that on tape it might cast doubt as to whether thy got the right car.

Why would states/counties use an expensive helicopter(or any aerial) speed operation when you can just as easily clock and catch people from the ground??? I never understood that. What a waste of money/resources.

Amen to that, don't they have better things they could be spending their money on?

And would it be possible for some one to argue the distance that they were recorded at as being incorrect, as in the Helicopter says 528' when it was actually more like 600, or would something like that not hold up in court with the whole Citizen's word against the officer's word

^ Thank you - that's the one that I remember, but I scanned through the on-line version, and could not find mention of the cost of maintaining the planes/helos, as compared to the budget for their more typical barracks, as I seemed to remember from the print version.

I'll see if I can find my old copy, and figure out what went wrong (or perhaps I've just gotta read the on-line copy in more detail! ).
