It seems that all over the place there are intersections which give off K band (whether or not there is a camera). Anyone else notice this? Its a real PIA. Sure, I can lock them out with the GX65, but there are so many of them!

I've encountered K (I think--maybe Ka) drones along I-75 or I-475 before and it's pretty annoying. Recurring cycles of V1 chattering and muting...
I'm heading up to Chicago for the holidays so I'll make a note of the locations this time through.
Where in Georgia are you talking about?
I just got a refrubed 8500 and have been driving around athens and atlanta and notice a lot of K-band, but I thought it was always due to those automatic doors (kroger, target, etc..). Are the falses you're talking about come from the traffic lights themselves?
The only time I get K-band alerts at intersections is when there is a K-band door opener somewhere such as those from Walgreens and CVS Pharmacy stores. The Redline still alerts to these at first but then goes quiet in Auto Mode. With the V1 though, you have to hit the mute button if your stuck at a red light or crawling in heavy traffic.
75 North out of Marietta used to have a bunch of K band drones!!!

In many areas of Gwinnett, North Fulton and Cobb, the traffic lights emit K-band signals. Some are dumb drones, others emit traffic light signal data for devices which can read this information. I've locked out all the lights around my area which have this. You have to be careful determining a lockout or not, because it might be a drone.... or it might be a red-light camera.
