Default States and counties where MPH POP used?

There is no thread or list of where MPH POP is used that I could find. Everybody needs to know this so they can disable or add this feature in their detectors in certain states. ......... UPDATE: Iowa, Nevada, New York, Organ with state contracts ........ Florida in certain areas...... Also reports in Georgia and Mississippi....

It's capable of being used anywhere MPH radar guns are sold. It is not allowed to be used as the sole means to issue a ticket. POP then basically becomes the warning indicator for I/O; officers know this and know that it defeats the purpose of I/O, which means that you'll only really ever see POP used as a marketing tool for detectors, as even MPH is moving to phase out the technology.

I've got a V1, POP on means the V1 is more sensitive to I/O; I/O is increasingly common around here, so with few rabbits, I need to take what advantage I can get. That statement will vary with other detectors, and what people witness and identify as tactics use din their area.

Will having POP on the 9500ix make it more sensitive to I/O?

No on the Belscorts POP ON makes them worse against I/O.

POP mode radar is NOW used in the state of Nevada so watch out! Keep POP on while in Nevada, otherwise you can turn it off.

I do visit one of my son's and family in Nevada a few times a year (grand daughter actually). It's hard to pass through Reno though without stopping for some fun time.
I'll have to remember to enable POP feature when I make the trips for added measure, and remember to disable afterward.
Seems to me that I heard it's used in Oregon also, but may be wrong.

Dallas PD loves POP. I dunno whether it was one cruiser bugging me or what, but last time I drove through Richmond and parts of north dallas, there was pop all over the place. So far, it's the only city in Texas I've seen it used.

Could somebody elaborate a little more on how the POP feature of bel RDs affects its performance vis a vis I/O? Almost got nailed by a State Tropper with I/O recently, so I need any edge I can get.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the vast majority of radar units in Dallas Stalker units, which aren't even pop capable?

I don't live in Dallas so I couldn't tell you. However, I was driving through a few different areas with distinct names. They might or might not have their own departments with equipment. My route took me through several major streets and there was one car present the entire time to justify a Cobra generated false positive. My RD is just a V955, so I guess you can take these readings with a grain of salt.
