    Default UT - Laser time

My buddy at work and V1 owner said he saw a UHP guy running what looked to him to be a laser gun on I-15 south of Salt Lake. Now that the weather has improved, I guess they'll fire them up more.

Do me a favor and let me know if you see any laser activity out on I-80 Sacramento Cali to Salt lake city UT in the next month or so. I believe you said in some of your earlier post you go across I-80 allot.

I will be traveling out that way next month.

    Thanks

I'm driving I-80 on Thursday. You won't see laser out in the desert, and highly unlikely in the Sierra. Sacramento metro or Salt Lake metro areas are more likely. The in-between parts are Ka. The main thing in Nevada is when you're close to towns, within 2-3 miles slow up. Watch for planes in Nevada east of Battle Mountain. Do not speed in Elko. From Carlin (when you go into the tunnel) to about 10 miles east of Elko is heavily patrolled. After that it is pedal to the metal.. (But again, watch for small planes circling - 100% chance it is a NHP plane). I sometimes go the whole length with zero hits, other times up to 10.

Hard to speed in Sacramento since it is so jammed with cars. Easy to detect CHP because they use C/O. Auburn area in Sierra foothills usually has a lot of CHP action, but they are also using C/O.

Awesome breakdown of what I can expect, I will probably ping ya for more info here in about 3 to 4 wks (if you don't mind) to double check the LEO activity.

    Thanks

Once in Nevada, also watch out for "legit" POP mode radar being used. NHP loves to knab a rd user who has POP turned off (if you know what I mean. So in Nevada, turn POP on and when you exit Nevada, you can turn POP back off. Just trying to help.

Guess I need to get a jammer soon. Let me know if you hear of anything in Southern Utah. I haven't seen it yet here but my wife said she was hit once last fall with laser.
