I'm looking to possible in September go down to Florida for one week Sunday to Saturday and bring all my gear down for testing and vacation for me and the Gf.only problem is I'm going to have to rent a car to drive in Florida anyone knows of a place to rent a decent car to drive around in or can save me some $$$. not sure where I'm going to stay in Florida yet but any suggestions would be great,last year i was in Clearwater/Tampa area.what would be best for you guys in Florida to all meet up and get a countermeasure meet going.looking forward to possibly meet blinder and cliff at Li.

well i'll be in the tampa area at that time, so tampa to orlando area would be ideal for me. lots of fun attractions in orlando for sure.

Depends on the vacation you want...

If you have never been to Sanibel/Captiva, you should see it. Not much of a night life, but excellent beaches, shelling and not too developed. Its about 2.5 hours south of Tampa.

Closer to Tampa, Clearwater beach is excellent. There is plenty of activity, food, music, drink to be had there.

In St. Pete, Pass-a-grille beach has a lots of music and food too.

For just pristine beaches go to Ft. Desoto (Saint Petersburg). Drive to the west side.

Downtown St. Pete has excellent food and views. Try Bella Brava, Ceviches, Moon Under Water, Red Mesa, Savannahs Cafe, and The Columbia (cuban) on the pier. A good club with multiple bars and different settings is the Push Ultra Lounge

You could also catch a Rays baseball game too downtown in the "trop". No one seems to like the domed stadium, but its air conditioned and never rains out.

Tampa has Ybor city for your nighltlife and Channelside....Busch Gardens as a theme park if you like good roller coasters

I'll be about 15 minutes north of Orlando, 1 hour 50 minutes according to google maps from Tampa. I'd love to do a little bit of testing while your there. I won't know my schedule for school though until late August.

I'm looking to be down in Florida sometimes in September,its not official yet but I'm def looking to get plane tickets paid for soon in advance will let everyone know when my flight is. hopefully the people who fly the planes down there will get off strike and back in the air soon.
