Default Can You Spot the ENRADD

I had a feeling today I was going to encounter a speed trap and got almost to work and was rolling past the last hiding spot the local police use, this is good one too on a posted 25 MPH road that everyone tends to go 45+ and they hide back off the road behind trees and time you as you pass, I usually roll past look to see if they are there and get on the gas if not.

    Google Maps

As you can see from the map the nice white lines on the road, well today I roll pass no police sitting, get on the gas and out of the corner of my eye I spot something of the side of the road and was oh damn an ENRADD unit, hit the breaks immediate looked around to see where the officer was and could not see him.

It was my lucky day, he had just pulled out in front of me to chase someone down. I am not sure if he was in the pumping station lot or on the side street, but either location would work with the ENRADD unit.

I almost thought about going back and hiding the damn thing on him.

So can you spot the ENRADD in the picture. I have to say that was sneakiest place I have seen them hide it, I consider myself lucky I saw it before I got to it.

wow, that is sneaky! At 45+, that would be hard to spot, depending on the sun...

That would have been a perfect spot to pull over your 4x4 truck to check and see if your tire was flat!!!

I guess everyone would rather run against laser than ENRADD. I know about PA laws with radar, but damn, it would make so much more sense to run laser if they want accurate readings... plus it is cheaper AND they can be jammed...

x2 the ENRADD units cost more then a basic lidar gun what departments think when they choose speed devices, they should shop around first then buy.

The 5ft requirement only comes up in the cal procedure and as in the past where the cal procedure for timing over distance called out 500ft the courts through that out as the required distance for the actual speed measurement.

The real issue is the wireless version as far as anyone been able to determine was never tested by PennDOT, since they have refused to share the test results.

Yeah it cost less than $100 to build one of these and they sell them for $5000 since the police in PA have no other choice, I would bet the company who makes these is fighting the new Bill to allow locals to use radar.
