Unmarked cars in NC

I don't know if anyone else on here drives around Greensboro, or the surrounding areas bit I've noticed more tricky unmarked LEOs lately...

Besides unmarked chargers (even the 2012 models) and occasional crown vic, there's quite a few Chevy (Suburban?). And they are writing tickets. I've seen maroon and grey, but I think there are black ones too. They have dark windows, same tint on the drivers window as the rest. Dark wheels, don't think they are stock, they look pretty funny like some kind of 5 spoke design. They look too small for the vehicle. They have regular NC tags. Dark mirrors and door handles. Two small antennas on the roof. You can see the blue lights inside the top of the windshield if you look hard.

So just a heads up. There are a lot of these suvs on the road so if you see one that could potentially give you a ticket I would slow down and look for those clues. Thankfully a lot of the drivers that buy these cars nowadays like to sticker up the back to show everyone that they have kids, so dead giveaway your safe.

I see lots of them as well. Look for the On Star blade antenna on the roof of the Suburbans, if it has it, it's not the cops.

Didn't think about that. Do the stock suburbans come with black wheels mirrors and door handles, and dark tint on front windows? I don't think they do so that's a give away its probably a cop.

Not at all sure about the mirrors or wheels but the blade antenna is what I look for when one rolls up behind me.

I looked at pictures I see the antenna now, above the driver. I did take a picture of the unmarked and it does not have one. Also looks like a lot of them come with roof rails. The unmarked one doesn't have rails.

This is getting easy now. Thing that still sucks is my eyes can't catch a suburban off in the distance nearly as fast as a charger or crown vic.

The Charger is what makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up! I hate the damn things! If it has a wing on the trunk lid, it's not the cops. Other than that it's hard to tell until they get up on top of you. One other thing, most unmarked cars have a plate that starts with the letters SHP****.

A lot of unmarked in Fayetteville/FT Bragg area as well.
Multiple models, multiple colors.

Just prior to deploying saw a unmarked SUV pulled over a vehicle. Back of the LEO SUV had a Soccerball magnet that read "Soccer mom" and had two other decals not normally associated with Law enforcement... was pretty sneaky.

Have seen a few chargers as well. Front vanity plate on one of them read "Busted" in reverse lettering.

They are all over the state. There are a few Chevy Impalas in the mix too.

Hmm, guess I forgot about these... they also use the newer suburbans. Saw a black one which was very easy to spot the blue lights inside the windshield. Saw a white one around Burlington but had sheriff on the doors.
