Bel RX65 Not Compatible With The Hard System?

I've been having issues ever since I got my BelRX65 a few weeks ago and I may have figured out the cause. I don't think it is working properly with the HARD system which is a very well known wireless system for motorcyclists made for the V1, Escort and Beltronics models.

What happens when using the HARD system is that after getting a first alert the detector just goes psycho and starts cycling up and down and displays bars in correlation. I have to power it off to clear this out.

However, if I run the detector without the HARD or run it in my car it purs like a kitten - it's perfect. Then I can attach the HARD transmitter in the car and the problem shows up again.

My question is, is there anyone else here using the BelRX65 with the HARD system and does it work? My firmware is 6.1.

I have a theory. It may be the voice alerts. I am going to try turning them off. I'll see if I can test this tonight.

OK, I did some tests tonight and it most certainly is the HARD transmitter. This is really a pisser.

I verified this on the bike and in the car.

With the transmitter connected to the Bel RX65 it causes it to freak out, give false positives and show gibberish on the display.

Disconnect the HARD transmitter and the Bel performs flawlessly.

So either I have a bad transmitter or the HARD system is not compatible with the RX 65.

I did by the Bel HARD system and I got it from Radar Roy.

I've never heard of this happening before. The H.A.R.D. system should be compatiale with the RX65. You should pm, email, or call Radar Roy and ask him about this.

I wonder if it's the firmware version? I have 6.1. This is really strange. I've contacted RR and Legal Speeding by email to see if I am missing something. If I don't hear back soon I'll call them.

I've followed all the problem solving steps. I am a professional software developer so my problem solving skills are usually pretty good.

This is the third reported problem over the past couple months and I have not heard of any fix or what the cause maybe

Have a message in to Beltronics to see if they can offer a suggestion, also to Aarron at legal speeding
