How bout an FJR1300A with a few mods? The bike is getting better reviews now(2007) than ever before.

Ride the '04 with lots of mods and yes Yamaha should get credit for continually improving the FJR

We'll have to see how the Connie evolves

Agree, Yamaha is turning out an excellent product now. Come to think of it, it's impossible to buy a bad bike, but so easy to buy a bike that doesn't suit you needs  Think about it

Many think the current Suzuki 750 is the best sport bike on the road.

Though I love my 750's, Thats hot topic now isn't it?

I have to say though for the road its kinda like a story about a girl and 3 bears:

    600's: Too little
    1000's: Too much
    750's: Just right.

Actually to be honest the 600 Supersports are more then enough for any public road though, and I dont know anyone who can ride them to their limits, as the pro's do. (Other then in a straight line where you can top them out).

(Then again for 750's... only Suzuki makes them now... Kawi dropped their spectacular and dominating Superbike in 2003... and Yamaha's R7 only had a few ever made).

Wish they made the R7 for the street though.

This is why I love my 929. The 1000's seem a bit too big and bulky for me while the 600 class is a bit too small. I love the feel of my 929. Best bike I've ever owned.

The newest 1000's are just about identical/smaller then your 929 in nearly every dimension?

As a matter of fact, the ZX-10R for a few years running WAS smaller then its 600counterpart in every dimension besides height (an inch or 2)... and may have weighed just a few extra pounds... so if you think 600's are too small, you better think the 1000's are?

With that said I always liked the sub-litre class Fireblades (900/918/929/954)
