Erractic display illuminations on a ducati ( Valentine)

hey guys, i hope some of you can help me out, i have my v1 mounted on a techmount on my new 1098 ducati, its hard wired, with the Concealed Display with the Remote Audio Adapter. I spent about 4 hours hooking this up very neatly. When the bike is off the display is normal, but when the bike is running the lights on the display illuminate erratically. and even though the main unit is dim, its lights also flicker, It still picks up legitimate radar sources, it also works fine in the car.

Any ideas?

I'm using V1 wires and i have them running in a flexible wire loom.
its getting its power from one of those add a circuit dual fuse adapters that replace an existing fuse. and i have it grounded directly to the battery. I was thinking that it might be picking up weird signals from the ground and maybe grounding it to the frame might be better. - i hope its that easy, since i spent a lot of time and money on this hook up.

if you're using the add a circuit, which fuse is it plugged into?

almost sounds like the head light modulator is inline somewhere, if you have one.
that or a charging circuit.

maybe try a different circuit, such a parking lights or something.

also maybe temporarily bypass it, and connect direct to the battery and start it to see if it still does it.

i'm thinking a different fuse slot should work, but you'll have to test and see.

Its on the instument panel circuit (its all digital) Im going to hook up the power wire directly to the battery and hopfully that will take car of it, that will be the easiest thing to do.

Well, i found the problem, thankfully it was an easy fix, the add a circuit was the problem, for some reason it was picking up interference, which is weird since that is how i have the V1 wired on my cars, and it works fine. so now I wired it directly to the battery, problem solved. The V1 works great on the bike, I even encounter an FX35 with the laser cruise control and the the V1 started screaming. Even though false lasers are annoying, i know that it will pick up a real laser threat.
