I have both the HARD and the Autocom ProM1 hooked up to my Escort 8500. I even have the remote Escort indicator. All mounted on my bike. The Escort remains locked in the plastic glove box. Receives every signal with the exception of laser, which you don't need to know after you have been tagged.

Mike - speeding tickets are one thing - injury is another. Don't mess with the interior of a helmet. All the space is vital as a crumple / impact zone. You don't want the chin taking hit - too many nerves and arteries connect at the Temporal Mandibular Joint - which takes it hard with a hit on the chin. That area is tied with balance, motor skills, hearing, then even the brain. All vital for motorcycling.

OK - emergency medicine lecture is over. be safe.

I just have the HARD receiver mounted with velcro to the back of my helmet. While I would prefer to have it hidden and waterproof, I am not a big fan of inserting a box into the foam of the helmet.
