West Side motorists are being asked to be extra cautious beginning today.
El Paso police will conduct increased traffic enforcement from noon to 8 p.m. today through Sept. 23 near Remcon, Mesa Hills and Sunland Park streets.
Police said the effort aims to improve traffic safety on El Paso's streets and reduce and prevent traffic-related injuries and deaths.
Police also said this month's traffic focus is on any type of passing violation, including illegal passing of vehicles, buses, pedestrians and emergency vehicles.
