State Police Operation Air, Land, and Speed part 4 starts Thursday

The Virginia State Police is bringing back Operation Air, Land & Speed. It will be the fourth time this year they've run the program.

Starting this Thursday, Nov. 30, and Friday, Dec. 1, drivers can expect to see Virginia State Troopers patrolling on the ground and in the air along Interstates 81 and 95.

"The public's response to the initial three operations spurred us on to bring this life-saving, interstate project back again," said Colonel W. Steven Flaherty, Superintendent of the Virginia State Police. "As traffic picks up and lives become more hectic in preparation for the holidays, it is critically important that drivers still remember to keep safety on the road a priority."

Operation Air, Land & Speed IV will utilize troopers, supervisors, aviation personnel, and motor carrier troopers. While traffic crashes and fatalities were at a minimum during the first three operations, State Police still cited more than 20,540 traffic and criminal violations along the two interstate corridors.

Good luck, I almost have to roll my eyes and laugh at the same time, with all the fun your going to have.

They rarely have any good patrols in Missouri. They are just the every now and then Construction Detail, Vascar Detail, Drunk Driving Detail, Seat Belt Detail, and thats about it, nothing major.

What fun you will have, I'M jealious.
