Ohio Highway Patrol opens multi-agency traffic enforcement blitz
27 minutes ago
The Ravenna Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol, in coordination with county and local law enforcement, will be conducting a multi-agency enforcement blitz today, focusing on specific high-crash areas in Portage County during times when crashes are more likely to occur.
Post commander Lt. Mike Marucci said the patrol, in conjunction with the Portage County Sheriff’s Office and the Aurora, Brimfield, Garrettsville, Hiram, Kent, Ravenna and Streetsboro police departments, will be out on the roads looking for crash-causing violations today, two more days in April and continually throughout the summer.
"It’s a team effort that’s needed to try to affect the overall crash picture in the county," he said.
