Chicago will get even more Red light cameras

(05/07) Red light cameras were recently activated at six new intersections around the city of Chicago. The addition of the new cameras means there will be 39 intersections covered by the system.

This will hurt...or have they already had a bunch installed?
It's been a few years since I lived in chicago now but I do remember that red used to mean "five more cars can go" within the city. Everyone knew it so it worked as the other direction expected it and waited. Are the cameras well marked and publicized so that people can change their ways in the interest of safetly? Or are they just instealled stealthily so they can cash in on how the majority drives?
