Speeding drivers in South Ribble will be encouraged to slow down.
Eight mobile speed indicator devices will be installed in various locations around the borough to show drivers how fast they are travelling.

It is hoped the gadgets, which have cost the council £35,000, will make drivers travelling too fast to slow down.

They have already been used successfully in Hutton, Longton and Much Hoole, thanks to funding from the Western Parishes area committee.

Local people will be encouraged to suggest locations for them through their local area committees.
