Police to increase radar patrols

BELLEFONTAINE NEIGHBORS — Police will increase radar patrols after getting complaints of speeding along Chain of Rocks Drive, Chief Robert Pruett told residents at a Board of Aldermen meeting last week.

Chain of Rocks Drive begins at Hall Street in St. Louis but enters Bellfontaine Neighbors before linking into Jennings Station Road. Patrick Foley has lived on the street for 25 years and said he seldom sees police there.

Speeding has increased from all vehicles on the street, including trash trucks, he said.

Foley also complained about excessive trash on the road.

Alderman Anthony Smith whose ward includes Chain of Rocks Drive, thanked Foley for coming forward.

Yeah. I speed when I'm up there. Mostly cause slowing down will subject you to getting your car jacked.
