Hamden police get radar guns

Hamden (WTNH) _ Across the state, police are getting a little extra help keeping an eye on the roads.

Police were stationed on Ridge Road in Hamden armed with radar guns and in the first hour 10 drivers were stopped for speeding.

Neighbors say the area is prone to accidents and News Channel 8 was first to show you one of those bad crashes on Monday. An ambulance had its sirens blaring when a man in another car slammed into it. That driver and the two EMT's were taken to the hospital.
