Virginia may become the first U.S. state to ban the display of any vehicle accessory resembling "human genitalia." Virginia State Delegate Lionell Spruill recently introduced a bill that would outlaw the strangely popular rubber ornaments, which add a pair of "testicles" to automobiles, trucks, trailers, motorbikes and trailer hitches, after receiving a complaint from a resident in his district. Spruill wants to see ball-bearing motorists fined a maximum of $250 for the misdemeanour of placing the novelty item in public view. Spruill told reporters the rubber mock genitals were initially less noticeable when produced in more modest proportions but that recent, more extreme offerings included 10-inch testicles weighing up to 1.1 kilograms. "I'm having a bill drafted because now they're getting bigger," Spruill told WDBJ television news in Roanoke. "At first, they were small on the back of the truck. Now, they're buying big ones."
