FL - Lee deputies issue 142 citations, 96 warnings

The Lee County Sheriff's Office issued 142 citations and 96 written warnings Wednesday at its enforcement target sites, according to results it released this morning.

The office will target at least one of the following three locations for enforcement Friday:

- Three Oaks Parkway, Fort Myers
- Woodland Boulevard, Fort Myers
- East 6th Street, Lehigh Acres

Locations are selected based upon high incidents of crashes, traffic surveys and citizen complaints.

Residents can help by informing officers about problem areas, aggressive or impaired drivers and by compliance with the rules of the road. Traffic deputies are available at 477-1000. The sheriff’s office suggests dialing 911 if a reckless or drunk driver is observed in Lee County.
