In an effort to reduce speed related crashes and gain compliance, the Department of Public Safety-Highway Patrol Division will be utilizing saturation patrols for speed limit enforcement.

The Highway Patrol , supported with funding by the Department of Public Safety-Office of Traffic Safety, has secured a grant that will provide overtime funding to allow extra patrols starting Mach 3rd thru March 19th.

During this campaign, Troopers will be focusing on speed enforcement along with other violations to include D.U.I., seatbelt, and other violations.

If teh Department of Public Safety-Highway Patrol Division are able to show a reduction in speeding through enforcement during this two (2) week campaign, they feel they will have been successful preventing a speed related accident.

The goal is to educate the public on the dangers associated with speeding.

Department of Public Safety-Highway Patrol Division encourage everyone to buckle up and please drive safely.
