has anyone seen one of these vans? I have yet to see one on the highway. I have seen the signs but have yet to see a van anywhere in IL.

some of those people making comments

study after study has proven that speeding is the least cause of accidents and deaths in work zones in IL. the biggest cause of injury and death of the workers is worker negligence!! maybe the ISP should stand in work zones and fine the workers for being negligent.

this is just revenue generation plain and simple, and has nothing to do with safety.

can someone explain to me how parking a van on the side of the road taking pictures of drivers and mailing them tickets 2 weeks later slowwing people down and saving lives?

they are allowing people to speed just to collect money. if they were so concerned about safety they would do something to actually slow traffic down. I have seen in so,me states were they put rumble strips in the road in construction zones to slow traffic, that is more effective. also if they are so concerned about safety why don't they work during off peak hours like alot of states do. IL only seams to work during rush hour and during the day. they do make spot lights that can light up the road like daylight maybe IL should invest in some of those instead of these "revenue vans".

Saw one on 294 south of O'Hare. Easy to avoid if you have a detector.
