I just don't understand people who drive normally down the freeway, and when they spot a parked vehicle in emergency lane (whether it's broken/police pulling over someone etc) they pull off onto the em. lane and slam directly into the stopped vehicle. This seems to be a rather common occurrence than isolated incidents :shock: :shock: :? :!: :?:
And the cops are trying to blame this on speeders, which I find most unlikely. It seems to me that such a stupid move is a result of extreme lack of attention while driving?? Also maybe DUI?

It was kind of like teaching my son to ride a bike, I could not get him to understand that he needs to stop looking at the mail box post. Not sure how many times he ran into it. People tend to steer towards what they are looking at. I find myself slipping these drifting towards what i am looking.

I see, I guess that could make sense. So that would count as an extreme lack of attention with these accidents. I don't know about other people but my attention when driving is a lot higher when I drive fast. It seems that I am not the only one because I've never heard of such accident here (Europe) and people here drive quite faster. I've heard of people pulling of stupid stunts like passing cars through emergency lane and such, but never this what is shown on these videos and what you describe.Originally Posted by Maestro
