Taking Laptops at border keeps country Safe.
After the terrorist attacks of sept. 11 2001 the U.S. has tried to take every percaution necessary to prevent another incident like it from happening again, even if it means inconviencing innocent people.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security recently disclosed policies allowing agents of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to seize electronic deices such as laptops, cell phones and MP3 players, and retain them indefinitely. The rule will allow agents to examine and copy any data without any suspicion of a crime.
Civil liberties advocates and business travel groups are unhappy with the department's procedures because an increasing number of international travelers have reported their laptops and other digital devices have been confiscated for extended periods of time -- for months in at least one case.
The writer of this article then goes on to back the taking of your Civil Liberties. Saying, "We'll if it makes it safer i guess, i can understand it."
No, that is not how this nation was built kind sir. You want to know what my relative Benjamin Franklin would tell her for writting and even thinking such things?

To back up my great realative Mr. Ben Franklin. I have witnessed while in the army, in Northeren Upstate NewYork; I witnessed a boat come from Canada across the St. Lawerence SeaWay. It landed in NY USA. Not once was this boat searched by customs, not one customs officer showed, or coast gaurd to stop this boat and check it's contents, or passengers. This has went on for many years in this area. Don't beleive me? Take a trip to Alexandria Bay Ny. Take the boat ride to see all the million dollar homes. When on the boat ride. They will show you port holes they used to shine lights in at homes on the U.S. Side to show that it was clear dearing Prohibition. These places still very much so exist. It is very much so possible to cross without alerting anyone in the darkness of night, or even mid day here. Why would I cross at Customs? If I knew I was craying valuable cargo like that? I wouldn't! Not when I know there are thousands of other miles of well unprotected shores I could easily land at, Undetected. Don't beleive that? Watch feirnheight 911 although controversial. Mike Moore made a valid point. This isn't about security and all, or keeping us safe. As when he did a report on the same thing I just said I have witnessed, he found there to be ONE State Trooper to be protecting all of oregon's sealine PART TIME! This seems like me nothing other then an attempt to grab more of your civil liberties. I rejoined the NMA today due to this awful abuse of power. I also plan to take a personal trip to Lansing Michigan to ask somebody some questions. Not only that, but to have a talk with the editor of these article, so he, or she can get their facts straight. Maybe so they can see also this isn't about Saftey it's about using FEAR to get anything on a silver platter. It is also very effective. Look at the Patriot Act for instance. Same thing.

He is telling us, that anyone that would give up freedom for security is a fool. He is 100% correct. Do we really want this to become a communist Nation? That is where you are letting us head here folks. You just keep allowing them to simply trounce on your Civil Liberties. Maybe you need to take a trip to Arlighton, or Gettysburg, or Shilo, or Antietim, to remember your heritage. We are simply showing fear in our eyes of everything that moves. We cannot let this occur. For if the enemy see's fear, then fear we shall become, and defeat is soon to follow. I likely compare it to when driving off the wall, if you are about to hit a tree on a dirtbike if you stare at it, your going to hit the tree. If you live your life in fear of a ticket, your going to get a ticket. If you live your life in fear of the enemy the enemy can sense that, and he will take advantage of your fear. He will beat you because of your fear. Just like with wrestling or anything else, racing anything in life. If you don't have enough confidence in thyself, you will fail.
Not to mention most spy communications are done with SW or shortwave radio's and what we call Numbers Stations. MI6 has used them, iraqi's have them, iran has a huge arsenal of SW short wave communications number stations. The reason SW is used is it's traceable, although, they frequently use three Stations in roughly 1 and half hours. To make them hard to find. They also encrypt such messages so that me, or you, or even our GOV. Can't understand them. For instance the LincolnShire Poacher of London Europe. The insergents would use this type of comms because at such a Low Frequency it can be heard anywhere in the world. Through just about anything in brick basements like the ones I saw in Upstate NY. Even our own goverments spy's use a simlar type of radio comms. Based out of the quantico VA area, are round abouts that area of VA. So our goverment knows that laptops aren't the pimary coms. Yet they want to take our laptops? Why? Watch this video of the Linconshire poacher. What you are about to see is an encrypted message sent to spys anywhere in the world, spys from england. Did you know that in europe in 2004 they made it illegal to listen to these numbers stations on Short Wave radio? I wonder why? Ya. exactly. You can hear these stations on any shortwave radio. Hence it would be easy for a spy to infultrate, buy a shortwave rig. And bam your being spyed on! Yet he had nothing with him at customs. He wouldn't use a laptop which is highly unsafe. He'd use this instead. With a key in silence undetected. They could change that key via message every 24 hrs if they'd like too. Nobody has yet cracked these number stations. Only once has our own gov cracked another station. Cuba, that info can be also found on the net the name of the station is attention. Or something to that effect. This exerpt of the article was written and published in the, Ogemaw County Michigan herald, as well as THE STATE NEWS (East Lansing.) The views on it where my own, I wrote up the review, and response. The editor agreed the actions of the goverment where respectfull. As does the other 2/3's of society that chooses to live their lives in fear of the enemy.

. Ya. To make a long story short i'm glad shes my ex. That was a waste of my time. I should have just put the 2,000 dollars into a decent Lidar gun instead of a ring
