Thirty-seven state troopers, drawn from areas around Washington, will be working on motorcycles along Interstate 5 on Wednesday and Thursday.
From Vancouver to Bellingham, the troopers will be looking for speeders and aggressive drivers, according to a bulletin from the Washington State Patrol.
“We continue to see speeding and aggressive driving as a main cause in traffic collisions in our state,” WSP Chief John Batiste said in the bulletin. “We are using these speed emphasis patrols as a way to change drivers’ behavior. We want drivers to slow down and drive safely.”
