Arizona visitors are subject to photo radar citations

If you're expecting friends or relatives from out-of-state during the holidays, you might want to warn them about Arizona's photo radar program to catch speeders.
"If they're racing through, or speeding through, a clearly-marked photo enforcement zone -- by clearly-marked, I mean the signs are by state law 300 feet ahead of that camera -- they're going to get the notice of violation in the mail just like we Arizona residents would," said Bart Graves with the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
"There's no provision to exempt out-of-staters," Graves added.
He said non-residents are subject to the same $180 citation-by-mail as every Arizona driver.
