State police to conduct safety check Wednesday

Louisiana State Police will conduct a safety checkpoint on Wednesday on La. 13 between Eunice and Mamou within Evangeline Parish.



Troopers will be looking for uninsured vehicles and removing those vehicles from the roadway.

Troopers will also be looking for a number of other violations.

Louisiana state law requires drivers to carry proof of insurance in the vehicle at all times.

Failure to comply could result citations and a driver’s vehicle being towed.
