Announcement Of Sobriety Checkpoint, Saturation, And Hazardous Moving Vehicle Operation
Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H, St Joseph, announces that sometime during the month of August, Troop H will conduct a sobriety checkpoint, a driving while intoxicated saturation, and a hazardous moving operation. The sobriety checkpoint will be in Atchison County, the saturation will be conducted in Buchanan County, and the hazardous moving vehicle operation will be held in Atchison and Holt counties.
The checkpoint is a static operation on a specific highway that is designed to check every driver to ensure they are sober. The driving while intoxicated saturation is a mobile operation in which troopers saturate a specific highway in an effort to arrest intoxicated drivers. The hazardous moving vehicle operation is designed to target vehicles that are being operated in a hazardous manner.
