Police catch speeders in Suffolk-wide crackdown

MORE than 1,000 motorists were caught speeding on Suffolk's roads and 91 were caught not wearing their seatbelt during a week-long European campaign.
Officers were deployed throughout the county to increase checks and enforcement from September 7 to 13. The crackdown was lead by Tispol – the European traffic police network.
In total 1,100 motorists were caught speeding; police officers caught 642 people, while fixed cameras and Suffolk Safety Camera Partnership cameras caught a further 458.
