Almost as dumb as the bill they wanted to pass that would ban dark colored cars because they absorb more heat and cause you to run the AC more. California and their laws. . .

I like the snow for several reasons. 1. Gets all old people off the road. 2. No speed enforcement. 3. Any stupid driver usually gets stuck 4. The sad thing is most of the roads are smoother when snow covered.

Well, the automakers are allowed to leave a small area clear of the film. And that probably won't be right above the rearview mirror where we'd like it to be...

three options to get around this.

1. buy a car outside of Kalifornia

Try registering it.

2. replace all the windows with uncoated glass

Except that the replacement glass also has to have the stupid coating.

3. get a polishing kit and remove the coating from the glass.

Might be the only option.

About the Wrangler...

Outlawing the soft top would require us to use the hard-top vehicle with the hard windows, which would add significant weight to the vehicle.

Which means worse fuel consumption! Unintended consequences FTL...

Hopefully the automakers will put California in its place, or, if they're unsuccessful with that, won't sell cars everywhere with the new glass.

The only possible advantage I can see is that, with the reduced effectiveness and therefore reduced popularity of cheap dash mounted RD's, officers would feel less need to use IO.

1. I know many people that have moved to Cali with cars and have had no problems. and people buy cars all the time from different states.

2. why? if you get it done out of Cali you can put what ever you want in.

we are not talking about emissions which they can test and inspect we are talking about a clear coating on a clear piece of glass.
