GETTYSBURG, Pa. -- America's highest-profile mom grabbed the eye of a police officer Thursday near Gettysburg.

Kate Gosselin, 34, of the reality show Jon and Kate Plus Eight, was ticketed on Route 15. The Gettysburg Times reports that she was driving her SUV 84 mph in a 65 mph zone.

She faces a fine of $109.50.

You know I was trying to figure that out.

(1) Any person violating this section is guilty of a summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of:
(i) $42.50 for violating a maximum speed limit of 65 miles per hour; or
(ii) $35 for violating any other maximum speed limit.
(2) Any person exceeding the maximum speed limit by more than five miles per hour shall pay an additional fine of $2 per mile for each mile in excess of five miles per hour over the maximum speed limit.

42.50 + ((84 - 65 - 5) * 2) = 70.5

I think they gave her 'failure to obey a traffic control device', not speeding, and are including all the bullcrap 'ambulance fund' fees and such.

Maybe that was what she was trying to do. But clueless as she is, she doesn't realize that speed doesn't kill.

I would hope she has her litter of rats buckled in though... she probably did otherwise they would have ticketed her for that too.
