That's ironic. Driving with caution - not suspicious. Driving confident - suspicious.

...A three-judge panel took up the case of Jonathon Hatch who had been stopped by Cuyahoga Falls police officer Theodore Davis on February 21, 2009 at 3am because Hatch made a rolling stop when he came upon a flashing yellow traffic light at Third Street....
The blastards are so money hungry these days, they want to get us 'coming and going'!
WTF kind of A-hole LEO would stop a person slowing down for a yellow light?
God help us all if this is what its coming down to!

A flashing yellow, in the middle of the night, with no other traffic approaching the intersection, and coming to a nearly complete stop could be a bit strange.

I think if I saw it in person I'd think something wasn't quite right about the driver.. out of the area, a new driver, or... in the middle of the night... a drunk. I don't doubt the cops judgment, but his problem was not waiting until an actual law was broken instead of something just not looking right.

A bit strange maybe, i'll give you that. But against the law...enough to detain...No sir!
That maybe quota-revenue-driven A-hole LEO had no legal right to stop that motorist period...no laws were broken!
Do you want your local LEOs to detain and/or arrest anyone they subjectively seem strange? Thats what laws are for.

If you had a police scanner , you would know police stop people all to often for being suspicious, whether its walking, driving, or riding a bike.

They do that kind of crap in fascist, dictatorship countries. We're supposed to have a Bill of Rights namely the 4th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution to protect us from this kind of BS.
The way things are going, i shudder to think what our country will look like in 20 years.

You should shudder to think about the way it looks now. Every once in a while, I get an interesting opportunity to listen to surveillance of a subject or suspect. The games they play to develop PC "probable cause" in the course of "reasonable suspicion" is mind blowing.

Your rights are in the minds of the officers that may or may not be reasonable.

    I constantly state this...

    KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!

    EXERCISE YOUR RIGHTS!

You are not a criminal because you choose to keep silent, ask for an attorney, refuse search and many other things those in law enforcement would like to use to make you think you are doing something wrong.

When we stop exercising our rights the lawmakers want take them away.

If the founding fathers would have had cars, driving would have been a right and not a privilege.

There is a force that is trying to make internet access a "right" I hope they have success. We should learn and support these people. With the same effort and perseverance we may be able to make and keep driving a right as well.

Here is the case information mentioned above:
