Default Officers lose 243 Homeland Security guns

Is this Gun Safety? What happen to always keeping your weapon pointed down range and make sure when you are going number 2 to pick your toys up before leaving the rest room. But RD's are still against the law in VA. What a joke.

Default Re: Officers lose 243 Homeland Security guns

Nearly 180 Department of Homeland Security weapons were lost -- some falling into the hands of criminals -- after officers left them in restrooms, vehicles and other public places, according to an inspector general report.
If i know LEOs, all they have to do is search the LEOs homes to find most of those weapons.

Another officer left his firearm in the restroom of a fast-food restaurant, and it was gone when he returned.
    Musta been a healty sh1t!

In addition, an ICE officer left an M-4 rifle and a shotgun unsecured in a closet at his home. Both weapons were stolen in a burglary and later recovered from a felon, according to the report.
I'll bet that there felon had a heck of surprise when he found out he burglarized a LEOs home!

OK, from my experiences as an avid shooter, i've personally witnessed very dangerous, illegal and plain goofy behavior by 'some' LEOs on the rifle range.
    Need i say more?

Talking Re: Officers lose 243 Homeland Security guns

I have to admit I did this twice in my career only I had left them in a lock box at the station after an arrest. So being on the street and having a citzen ask you where your gun is at is some wht efed up. Your right about there homes.
