I understand not wanting a parking ticket and all, but hell it's not worth the added assault charge + more added to it. What a total fool!

OMG!! How the hell did I know this was going to be in NYC. I see this happen all the time (not the assault part, but a LOT of arguing). Honestly, the majoring of them ARE LYING CROOKS AND COULD CARE LESS ABOUT YOU. They write up ticking UNJUSTLY.

Yes, there are those who do their job properly and actually give people a chance, but that's a small fraction. My uncle is a Sgt. in the NYPD and he told me that the majority of regular NYPD cops hate traffic agents.

At least half a dozen times I have received parking tickets in the mail from cities I had never even been to! These a-holes just sit in a pub somewhere and make up licence plate numbers to write on tickets to turn in, making it look like they were actually working. Some people are probably stupid enough to pay them too! Each and every time, I've called the city in question, and the vehicle description on the ticket was not even remotely similar to mine, so they dismissed it.

Yeah... crazy way to make a living.

In my (much) younger days I worked at Radio Shaft. One day the cops came swarming into my store and slapped the cuffs onto a guy that was standing at the counter paying for some items. Apparently a few minutes earlier this bozo saw that he was getting a parking ticket and tried to run over the meter maid with his car. The meter maid, of course, radioed in a report and the cops came. This moron didn't even have enough sense to drive away after his attempted assault; after trying to kill the meter maid, he simply pulled his car back into the parking space and came inside the store.

Haha ****ing meter maids...I love yelling crap out the window at them in the city. At school Morgantown parking cops are so annoying, I racked up a ton of violations, left for the summer then got new tags. No need for assault charges, just go to your local retarded DMV and order new tags. Win.
