I saw the news story and thought I would post it to be fair to others that may like to try this program. However, I do not really see an advantage to this program vs. Trapster, besides you have to pay for this program and Trapster is free !

Speedwatch is far more accurate than Trapster.
Trapster does not know which way on the road you are traveling or even if the camera is on the right road for you!! (it just checks a radius distance)
Speedwatch has the intelligence to know what road and which direction you are going in before it alerts - so no annoying bleeps!
I trust it far more and have used it more already!

Trapster is only as good as the morons who submit reports. In my area where RLC are not allowed, it is amazing how many traffic monitoring cams are listed as RLCs.

x2. IIRC you're in or near PA, but on the eastern side. The western side is the same way... we have a major 6 lane intersection (it's urban though, not highway) that has a traffic monitoring camera on it due to the large amounts of cars that pass through the intersection. It's been wrongly marked as a RLC (as RLCs can't be used outside of Philly and I know it's not one anyway) and the interesting part is that last I checked, about 10 people agreed with the marking! Thus, it's a higher priority...even though it doesn't actually exist.

Otherwise, Trapster seems pretty good/reliable to me.

Let me know where exactly. On a daily basis I delete speed cameras, combo cameras and rlc's where they are not allowed

Same here let us no where the bad red light cameras are and we can delete them. Private message me with locations so I can clean up the map!

The only RLC in Pennsylvania are in Philadelphia. Speed cams are not allowed anywhere in PA.
