Well well well.... It appears TX has the same problem as Missouri. Jennings Police department had the very same thing happen.

Excellent! The new chief in FW has been cleaning house, and doing a good job of it. FWPD has had problems for years, so it's about time. I like this guy. He's firing people at a greater rate than the Dallas chief these days.

Just saw a news story on this on TV. Some lawyer is claiming the cops aren't getting a fair shake, and are appealing. Boo hoo.

Okay, get this. Their latest defence is that they had to do what they did to meet the department's 3-ticket per hour QUOTA!
I foresee the city losing all of it's STEP grant money over this. Idiots.

I wonder if the guy that always sits at the west end of town on I-30 early in the am was part of this group. I kind of doubt it as he has painted me with his laser doing well over the PSL but I guess within his tolerance because he hasnt stopped me yet.

Thinking outside the box, I could see where the city may save itself some money since the officers fired will not be able to claim some Worker's Comp claim against the department on retiring as a lot seem to do to reap a higher retirement check when they exit the force. This seems to big a big issue here with police and fire personnel who trump up some claim and then retire out and then go to work somewhere else.
I am surprised the chief is cracking down on them. Might be even more behind the matter as well. If grant money is involved, seems pocket-money fraud is also nearby.

Another reason I have no use for any of them. Those they are supposed to uphold the laws still believe the law does not apply to them and that they are the law.
I just hope once before I die I get to sit on the jury of one of these corrupt cops!! They did it for the money, that's the only reason and everyone knows it.
