easy way to solve this problem is just block the plates.its ashame the general public has no clue whats going on in that town.

Yea, it's pretty depressed down there. Figures the local politicos would find a way to generate extra cash.

The yellows are all 4 seconds here in Lufkin, TX and there are some cameras around town. The sad thing is that there is a 4 second yellow on intersections with a 35mph speed limit and the same 4 seconds on intersections with a 55mph speed limit. Guess which intersections have the cams.

On my first (and only) camera ticket, I had a whole case worked out, in writing, with surveys and confirmation of what the yellows should be in regards to the recommended yellow light formula, but they ended up letting me off in the "non-court" administrative hearing without me having to go through that whole rigmarole. If they would not have done that, I would have definitely went to court over the matter and fought to have ALL the cameras taken out of Lufkin. They tried doing the whole camera thing in Houston proper, and the citizens of Houston fought that nonsense in court. Redlight cameras are now banned in Houston proper. That's not to say the surrounding suburbs don't have them (Humble, Sugarland, etc), but not "in" Houston. If I had the time or energy, I would organize something here in Lufkin, but I don't.
