Yeah but it's ok for emergency personnel to use their phone. Like they need distractions!

I got mixed feelings about this.
On one hand, when will all these driving laws end? Smoking, scarfing down a burger, etc. are common place, will they be next?
Then again, i've seen people (mostly women) in their car yapping on their cell phones seemingly oblivious to the world.

Yeah, I agree with your views. There are many things that distract in the car. Hell there are many distractions outside the car too!
