Geez, if you get caught going 50 km/h over in PA (it perfectly converts to 31 MPH), you go to a fake hearing at the DMV where they decide whether to give you a 15 day suspension or make you take a special driving test.

I don't know why the French aren't rolling the guillotine back out.

The problem here is that if you hit someone with a 1500 euro ($3000) fine or closer to $10,000 for second offence, they are going to hire a damn good attourney.
